Miami's ACC Coastal hopes dashed by Tar Heels
Written by Darrell Wilkinson
It is all said and done now. With the Miami Hurricanes embarrassing loss in Chapel Hill to North Carolina 59 to 21 the ‘Canes are now out of contention for the ACC Coastal Division Title. From the start, the Hurricanes defense was overmatched against UNC quarterback Marquise Williams.
The first quarter started off slow but once Williams got it going for the Tar Heels, there was no looking back. The fifth-year senior had 104 yards on the ground and three touchdowns to compliment his 11 for 16 night for 105 yards and a score. The ‘Canes rush defense that was already the worst in the ACC looked helpless, as Williams and running back Elijah Hood, who had 132 yards and a score of his own.
