Storm Season Almost Here
Adrian McPherson and Shane Boyd will have to run an offense that did so well last year under former quarterback Stephen Wasil. Some of the eight returning players include wide receivers Michael Lindsey, and Joe Hills, Brad Serini at center, and defensive players Paul Griffin, Vance Cuff, Pernell Phillips and John-Kevin Dolce.
There was no time wasted during the off-season for this team. The Storm made some key additions to the roster such as former Florida State quarterback Adrian McPherson, who is returning to the AFL after a five-year career with the Canadian Football League. Joining him are former FSU teammate and wide receiver Chris Davis and Greg Ellingson, a former New Orleans VooDoo wide receiver.
Derrick Brooks, the President of The Tampa Bay Storm acknowledges the importance of the fans’ support and the difference it makes when the team plays at home. “Our fans are the best in the AFL hands down” Brooks stated. “I mean we still got our saying this year ‘Together we Storm’, that’s everybody, that’s including the fans; we’re gonna need them, we got a young football team in terms of arena football, but a very talented football team that’s hungry to defend and really wanna get us back where we need to be, so that home environment I can’t say enough about it, it is very important and again I like the fact that we’re starting at home, building off of last year’s success.”
