Wells Grabs The W as The Cubs Finish a Sweep of the Cardinals.

Daytona- A quick one hour and forty-nine minute game in Daytona at Jackie Robinson Ballpark between the Daytona Cubs (14-12) and Palm Beach Cardinals (13-13). The Cubs finished the four game sweep against the Cardinals, winning 3-1 Wednesday morning.
Ben Wells was the winning pitcher for the Cubs throwing sixty-eight pitches, walking one, striking out three, letting up three hits and only one run in seven innings. Eduardo Figueroa relieved Wells in the eighth and he closed out the final two innings, earning the save. Tim Cooney went the distance for the Cardinals throwing seventy-nine pitches but earned the loss.
Cardinal players who got hits today were Danny Stienstra with two singles, Tyler Rahmatulla and Stephen Piscotty with a single a piece, and Anthony Garcia with a RBI single.
Stephen Bruno had a single, Jorge Soler had a double, Anthony Giansanti had two singles with one for a RBI, and Ben Carhart had a two doubles and one produced two runs.
It was a quick, good game in Daytona and the Cubs should enjoy the rest of the day before they go on this upcoming, weeklong road trip. The Cubs will not play another home game until May 9th at 7:05 pm.
